The water in the footbath is charged with negative ions.  The client keeps the feet in the water.

The ions then invigorate, recondition and synchronize the body’s natural ionic flow, with the immediate effect that the body can detoxify safely at its own pace through the major organs of detoxification, such as liver, kidneys and skin. 

With regard to the results that are achieved, the Detox Foot Spa is similar to ancient Ayurvedic detox protocols, yet in its effect superior to even the most vigorous foot massage.
