Integrative Medicine - Treating Lack of Energy and Chronic Illness

Integrative medicine is what we practice, the common denominator for all the treatment protocols that we apply. We love it because integrative medicine gets you out of the slump. It eliminates the toxins that cause fatigue, sluggishness – and may even stop the fat to accumulate in areas where it is undesirable.

In other words, integrative medicine is the right kind of medicine for the ‘walking ill’, the countless men and women, who are not suffering from any specific diagnosable disease but from a general sense of malaise. Today this condition is usually referred to as ‘burnout’, ‘adrenal fatigue syndrome’, or ‘chronic fatigue syndrome’.

Very often integrative medicine is also for you, even called for, when you are suffering from a chronic illness that your regular doctor cannot cure but only temporarily contain through symptom suppression. Instead of going down the dark alley of endlessly taking medication, you may instead want to opt for detoxifying your system, thereby invigorating it so it can do what it was designed for by evolution: to heal itself, to feel alive - and express this aliveness outwardly.

Functional [integrative] medicine is a dynamic approach to assessing, preventing and treating complex chronic disease. Functional medicine helps clinicians identify and ameliorate dysfunctions in the physiology and biochemistry of the human body as a primary method of improving patient health… Returning patients to health requires reversing (or substantially improving) the specific dysfunctions that have contributed to the disease state. Those dysfunctions are, for each of us, the result of lifelong interactions among our environment, our lifestyle, and our genetic predispositions.
